Chad the Fish Assasin and a buddy of his had scouted the area we headed out for earlier in the week for spawning Lake Washington Smallmouth Bass. Of course they were in a real Bass boat and his fishing buddy is a professional Bass fisherman, so they caught way more than we did. But hey, if we catch anything it is a damn good day! Our basic technique was to do some drop shotting, but you know how it is when you go shopping for gear. The store closest to us (I won't name names) didn't have squat for drop shotting Bass, so we had to do some improvising. Must have done something right because we landed and release a couple really nice Smallmouths and Thomas lost a BIG one. Ya gotta watch his reaction in the video! Cliff |
