This is a small lake, verging on tiny!  At about 26 acres I would almost consider this a pond.  Finding it isn't as hard as it would seem.  Directions that we found to it include turn right into what appears to be someone's driveway.  Which is actually good directions since the road down into Chain Lake actually serves as someone's driveway as well.

The Chain Lake boat launch is, um.....  primitive at best.  Don't bring anything that needs a trailer.  A small row boat or pontoon boat that you can drop out of the back of your truck is best.  Electric motors or oars only on the lake as well.

Chain Lake is supposed to hold Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Largemouth Bass, and Crappie; not that we caught any of the above.  According to the State, it is a stocked lake.  Reports are that there are some 2# trout in here.  May be I will have to go back and try to find them.

All in all, bring a thermos or some beer.  Sit back and relax and have a good time.
