Herring Fishing in Puget Sound
Admittedly, this is less of an informative page than it is a standing question about recreational Herring fishing in Puget Sound. Now I am no slouch at doing Internet research, but searches for Puget Sound Herring Fishing have turned up about zilch. The most informative thing I have found is this:

This leads me to the inevitable conclusion that people around here don’t fish for Herring, that there are no Herring to be caught or some such thing. There is plenty of information on the fishery in general, but very little on recreational harvest. I did find one forum post on Herring declines and Indians harvesting Herring eggs that was enough to piss me off.
