Lowrance Sucks Anyone that has followed our show for a while knows that we hate with a passion the Lowrance LMS-332 that was installed on the boat.  I know for a fact that Thomas has nearly thrown it over the side more than once.  The biggest problem lately is that it will work for a while, then drop the dreaded "GPS module not responding" message.  It seems to like to do this at random and at the worst time possible.

So tonight I thought I would do a search for lowrance "gps module not responding" and see if there was an easy fix.  I was stunned with the number of posts on different fishing forums and other places all with the same complaint.  Also not too surprising was the frequency of comments like "I want to throw it overboard" and "Lowrance has horrible customer service!"

I know from our experience is that they really Lowrance doesn’t give a crap about supporting their customers.  When we did send our unit in, it took them several months to get it back to us.  Yeah, that is helpful, especially when they never let us what was going on.  Several times I have invited their reps out to go fishing with us and do some demonstrations on how to get the most out of our electronics, and possibly answer some of our customer service questions.  They of course never have taken us up on any of our offers or even answered any emails.  It is amazing that a company like Lowrance can be so arrogant and callous towards their customers.  Until they decide to pull their heads out of their asses we will keep bitching about them and doing our best to keep people from buying them.  If any of you reps from other companies like Garmin or Furuno would like to give us a shout and hook us up with a new fish finder and GPS we would definitely be up for bragging about how cool your gear is.

    I spent two days on the phone trying to get some help from lowrance
    I sent them two emails with no reply. Finaly got thru to them and shipped my unit off . I probbly wont see it again. Worst service
    in the world. I will never but another lowrance unit again. they are
    junk. Get the word out

    I HAVE HAD THIS LOWRANCE FOR LESS THAN 3 YEARS AND YES!!!THEY ARE CRAP!!!!!!!!!
    THE COMPANY WILL NOT BACK ITS PRODUCT AFTER YOU BUY SO DON’T BEWARE; JUST DON’T BUY!
    I HAD IT FIXED ONCE WITH THE BUTTONS NOT WORKING, NOW THE TOUCH SCREEN WON’T RESPOND AND THEY SAID SINCE THEY DO NOT MAKE IT ANYMORE THEY WON’T SERVICE IT…WHAT?!
    BAD COMPANY-BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE-UNRELIABLE- STEER CLEAR OF “LOWERTHANLOW LOWRANCE!”
