Book Review of the Saltwater Journal by John Martinis

Need to know where and how to fish in Puget Sound?

The Saltwater Fishing Journal by John Martinas is a non-too-complicated compilation of articles on how to fish for different Salmon in Puget sound.  Like many books of this type, it lacks the cohesive flow of a made from scratch book, and some of the material is a bit redundant.

This being said however, the Saltwater Fishing Journal does deliver on good maps, solid instruction and tips on how to catch Salmon in Puget Sound.  The areas of the sound that it targets are the inner areas from Everett, down around to Kingston and up towards the main channel.

The Saltwater Fishing Journal is a good book to read through and get your learning in with if you are just getting going on Salmon fishing in Puget Sound.   At ~$22 it isn’t the most expensive thing you will ever buy for fishing, but might be one of the better investments!
