WTF kind of squid is this.
To be honest, there are some things down there in the water that scare the piss out of me. I watch a lot of nature shows, but I have never seen a squid like this. Make a person wonder just what all is down there, waiting for us to poke our heads over the side of the boat to take a look!
According to what I can find, it is called a Spider Squid and it was discovered in 2001. There is a little info on it on The Worlds of David Darling, but not a whole lot else is immediately to be found. You know there isn’t a lot of information when there isn’t even a Spider Squid Wiki post!
